St Mary's pupils handing over illustrated haiku for me to take to the library.



If you live in Rotorua please go and the exhibition I have put together of haiku and illustrations
  St Mary's Catholic Primary School.
 Submit a haiku to the box to be into the random  draw to win an animal photo.
 All adults and children are invited  to get creative

Write a  haiku in response to it (short, three lined poem, nothing drastic or major, just a thought or two) and put it in the box

with your phone number on the back and one winner will be drawn out and that person will win a free animal photo from me.

 This gorgeous  woman whose brother was a famous poet did it.

I did it over and over and in fact this is the third year in a row I have organised a haiku exhibition in the library.

  TV Rotorua got right on board with the idea and had a lovely time filming and talking about haiku and the fun I had with the children and Lynley Schofieldfrom St Mary's.

 Rotorua TV are so relaxed and super nice .

  Mel the interviewer even wrote a haiku and put it in the box and signed the visitors book.

The camera man Graeme loved my photos which was a bonus as he is a really experienced photographer.

Graham (cameraman)  even gave me a quote that I could turn into a haiku which is
It's not the size of the wand
that matters
but the magic that's in it

That made me laugh so much.
It was a lovely image and it made me want to go out and draw a magician with a wand.
