Tarawera Falls Impressions, journey of peaceful dreaming and going with the flow.

My husband and I went for a walk to the Tarawera Falls two weekends ago.
We had a picnic in a sunny spot in the bush while sitting on moss, with the pounding falls in our ears.
 After it we went for a walk to the camping ground near the exit of the Tarawera River and I sprained my ankle while walking on the boat ramp.
 I spent the next two weeks in bed resting and now I feel fine.
But the two weeks resting was very enjoyable because I found it effortless to stay in the moment and think of lovely things, make water colour paintings  and write.
 Now I feel really relaxed and dreamy and I think it shows in this work.

These shots were taken along the walk to the falls that takes around twenty minutes to reach.

It's an easy, scenic, picturesque walk.
You must go to the Kawerau Information centre and pay $5.00 for a permit to take the forestry roads to the falls.
The way is  well signposted, you won't get lost.

The light was translucent and very pure looking.

The leaves and trees  in the bush walk along side the river cast beautiful shadows and made some creamy  textures on the water.

 I enjoyed making multiple exposures.

 Planting textures on rocks.

I always feel that water like this looks like ice-cream and it makes you want to taste it

The water almost looks furry like a pampered Persian pussy cat

You want to reach out and stroke it.
 The waters gurgling  as it runs over rocks and bubbles up, almost sounds like purring.

On a hot summers day that is surely coming up to swim in it

And feel the froth sliding over your body and face

I love abstract paintings and these feel like artworks.
 Maybe Turners oil paintings.

You will have about a half hour car ride from Kawerau along forestry roads to reach the falls walking track.
It's pretty lovely because you drive through pine forests who are eerily quiet.

I want to go back soon.
Earlier in the morning and take shots of all the forests of trees we drove through.
They were like avenues.
