Within three hours you can be in Napier, sitting next to a tent, under oak trees, eating steak off a gas cooker and watching the sunset.
Or in a couple of hours you can be walking along the beach towards the estuary at Ohiwa Harbour, watching Godwits return to their nesting spots and oyster catchers spearing crabs with their orange beeks.
Within an hour and a half you can be walking along the haiku pathway in Katikati, cross the road, lie down on a park bench and be staring up at a tree with berries that look like they've jumped out of a Avatar movie.
It's as cozy as a woollen blanket to return home after an adventure to the people who always smile at you when you walk in the door.
Creativity Quote of the day
We have been taught to believe that negative equals realistic and positive equals unrealistic.
